ALFRED WILLIAMS “The Frog Master”
ALFRED WILLIAMS was the first African-American male Pro Angler from Jackson, Mississippi that broke through the Bass Fishing color barrier in 1976 when ALFRED WILLIAMS fished a B. A. S. S. pro event. In 1984 ALFRED was the first African-American to qualify and fish in the Bassmasters Classic which is a pro level fishing tournament. ALFRED WILLIAMS “The Frog Master” finished in the top 10 while paving the way for minorities who want to compete on the pro level in the fishing industry.
Continuing to pave the way, In 2003, Tyson Foods launched a professional anglers team and asked ALFRED WILLIAMS to lead the team in tournaments worldwide.
