With over 25yrs of fishing skills and experience, Malik Wilder recognized the need to raise the awareness of sport fishing and boating. As an avid sport fisherman with respect & safety, opportunity, success and teamwork, Malik decided to announce his involvement in the community and to get the youth participating in fishing and the outdoors. Malik spends his time teaching our youth life skills and sustainability as a volunteer for Georgia’s Division of Natural Resources.
Malik Wilder is the Founder and Certified Fishing Instructor of “Finding Inspiration-Sharing Hope, Inc.” (F.I.S.H, Inc.) non profit organization as well as, a certified fishing instructor for the “Hooked on Fishing-Not on Drugs" national program in the Metro Atlanta, Georgia area. Malik has a youth program called "Community Fishing League" (C.F.L) which is a neighborhood fishing tournament based program. He’s also the CEO of his production company, "Fishing For HipHop, LLC." that produces his fishing TV show.
He’s been featured on one of the World Fishing Network’s major fishing TV shows, featured on the website home page of Bass Masters and helped with raising funds for wounded troops along side many Hall of Fame Athletes and Pro Anglers.
In 2018, Malik created a "Fishing For Multiple Sclerosis" campaign designed to purchase wheelchairs for individuals affected with MS. His passion and exceptional fishing skills led him to fish in various locations around the world. Malik fished in Spain, Turks & Caicos, Bahamahs, Costa Rica, Hawaii, Tulum, Jamaica and Scotland to name a few places.
